Who We Are?
PT. Flores Travel Indo is a registered tour company based in Ruteng, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, Indonesia that operates tour in Flores and Komodo National Park. This company was established in January 2023 by a young founder from Ruteng. The founder is basically working as tour guide around Bali, Lombok, FLores, and Komodo for years. When covid-19 hit, they decided to regroup and built a company using Flores Traveler as its marketing name.
The main concept of this tour company is community-based tourism that promotes the sustainability of the environment, workers, and local arts and culture. The activities involve in the community-based tourism, such as;
1. The company empowers the Indonesian Tourist Guide Association members to be a part of the tour components.
2. The company empowers the local guide during a village tour or trekking activities.
3. The company collaborates with the local arts and souvenir community to support all our tour activities.

Why Traveler?
Flores’ primary tourist appeal lies in its strong sense of adventure and authenticity. The island is particularly well suited for travelers who seek more than conventional tourism experiences. It attracts individuals who are eager to explore diverse landscapes, gain a deeper understanding of local cultures, and engage with destinations that remain largely untouched by mass tourism.
Traveling across Flores offers opportunities to experience traditional communities, observe long-standing customs, and interact directly with local residents. The island’s natural features—ranging from mountainous terrain and rural villages to secluded beaches—encourage visitors to explore at a slower pace and with greater curiosity. Each journey provides insight into the cultural and environmental richness that defines Flores.
For travelers who value meaningful exploration, cultural immersion, and authentic experiences, Flores represents an ideal destination. Its unspoiled character and emphasis on discovery distinguish it as a place not merely to visit, but to truly experience.
A traveler ventures off the beaten track, away from the crowds, and experiences things most don’t experience. Tourists focus on the destination, whereas travelers focus on the journey. As Robert Louis Stevenson, a Scottish novelist, essayist, poet, and travel once said “I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” It’s the love of motion under a person’s feet which makes a traveler. A tourist can’t wait to arrive at his/her destination.
Our tour activity focuses on touring around Flores and Komodo Island. In Flores, we have a 6-9 day tour to explore the great nature and unique culture of Flores and in Komodo Island, we organize a private liveaboard tour by using Indonesia’s most popular phinisi boat to explore Komodo National Park from 1-5 days.
