We had Ali and Suyen from Australia who explored Flores for 5 days starting from Ende and ended in Labuan Bajo in the end of September 2025. They had an amazing time exploring Flores Island, a place full of natural beauty and rich culture.
One of the first stops was the famous Kelimutu Lakes. The three volcanic lakes, each with its own color, amazed everyone. Watching the sunrise over these stunning lakes was a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
The trip wasn’t just about nature — the travelers also got to experience the local way of life. They visited traditional villages where people still live by old customs. The warmth and friendliness of the locals made the visits very special. They had the opportunity to see the local wedding after received an invitation from their guide, Kusni from Bajawa. The celebration was full of joy, music, and colorful traditions. Everyone joined in the Ja’i dance, a traditional group dance, which brought a lot of fun and laughter.

For those who love a challenge, the hike up Mount Inerie was perfect. The trek was tough but rewarding, with incredible views waiting at the top. Seeing the island from above gave everyone a new appreciation for Flores’ beautiful, rugged landscape.
Throughout the trip, the group shared many smiles and stories. Flores Island gave them not just beautiful sights, but genuine connections and happy memories to take home.
When Asking about the highlight of their five day tour in Flores, both of them were really impressed with the excellent job of their guide driver, Kusni and Andot. They shared their feedback here.

Enjoy some of the drone shots taken by Ali during this trip who could fly his drone on the summit of Mount Inerie (2.245 mbl).
“I have started the hike to the summit of Inerie since 2017 and for the first time I have seen a hiker could fly drone from the summit even though the wind was strong”, said Kusni
Thanks to Ali who has shared his photographs he’d taken during the trip. You’re next
