This morning you will be picked up by your guide and driver from your hotel in Labuan Bajo to begin the half-day’s drive to Dintor on the south coast of Flores. You will reach Wae Rebo Lodge set in the midst of a paddy field with views across the fields and the sea to Mules Island, in here you will have lunch and then you begin your adventure to Wae Rebo (taking just an overnight bag). You will have a short drive up the bottom slopes of the mountain to the village of Denge, from where you hop on the back of a motorcycle for the 10-minute ride further up the mountain to post 1, the starting point for your 5 km hike up the mountain to Wae Rebo. You will be following a stone-laid path, and then a well-trodden forest path to reach the village, but be prepared for a tough uphill hike with sturdy hiking boots or walking shoes, (and rain gear depending on the season) Upon arrival at the lovely village of Wae Rebo, you will be welcomed in a traditional Wae Lu’u ritual that requests permission, and provides blessings from the village ancestors. Your afternoon is then free for further exploring, visiting local homes, learning more about their customs and traditions, and just enjoying the beauty of this amazing location. Overnight will be in one of Wae Rebo’s cone-shaped traditional home, shared with other visitors.

If you wish rise early to catch the beautiful sunrise, and then after breakfast, head back down the mountain to the lodge where you leave your main bag, and take the opportunity for a chance to freshen-up, before continuing your journey with the drive to Ruteng. Along this 3 1⁄2 hour drive you will have a number of stops at interesting spots along the way, including a visit to the spider web rice fields at Cancar, and a delicious local lunch of Se’i babi (the popular East Nusa Tenggara dish of smoked pork). Dinner and overnight in Ruteng.

Start the morning with a short drive to a spectacular lookout over a sea of rice terraces of Golo Cador stretching across the valleys and up the slopes of the mountains that surround Ruteng, and then continue on to Rana Mese Lake for a short walk along the shoreline, and then through the lush rainforest to see a waterfall surrounded by rich jungle. Then continue on to enjoy and swim at Cepi Watu Beach in Borong and then tp  Waelengga for lunch in a local restaurant, and from there you head on to Aimere, for a quick lesson in the distillation of arak, the local alcoholic brew made from palm trees. From there you drive through soth part of Bajawa to Malanage where you can relax in the hot spring. Your dinner and overnight will be in Bajawa. 

Enjoy a beautiful sunrise as it lights up the slopes of the volcano before breakfast, and then depart for the short drive to the village of the Bena, the oldest and biggest traditional village in all of Flores. In the village take some time to see the ancient building methods used here and to learn about the locals live their daily lives. Afterward you depart for the drive to Moni, stopping along the way to enjoy the view of Mount Inierie from the top of the death crater, and for a seafood lunch at Blue Stone Beach in Nangapenda. Your journey then continues to reach Moni, the last town before Kelimutu and the famous three colored lakes. 

You will wake up at 4 am for reaching the base of Kelimutu and then walk for about 30 minutes to the peak (1,600 m abl). From the peak of the mountain, you will be witnessing the sunrise with a view of the colored lakes in front of it. After Kelimutu, you will be back to Hotel for shower and breakfast. You will leave for Riung with stops at Wologai traditional village and Bung Karno’s house, a place where he was exiled from 1934-1938. After that, you will make a stop at Blue Stone Beach for lunch before continuing to Riung for dinner and overnight. P.s there is no guarantee we can see the sunrise in Kelimutu three colored lakes, it depends on the weather.

During your stay in Riung, the guide will take you for hopping island by using a traditional wooden fishing boat to see some nice spots including snorkeling and wildlife watching. You will overnight at Nirvana hotel in Riung. In the morning after breakfast, you will explore 17 islands starting with a visit to Kelelawar Island or known as bats island. From there, you will head to Rutong Island for snorkeling, and then snorkeling at Tembang Island and snorkeling at Pulau Tiga. Fish Barbeque is your lunch. In the noontime, you are back to Riung for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast in Riung, you will drive through north Flores road that has a stunning sea view. On the way to Ruteng, you will stop for the beautiful views and enjoy the long white sandy beach in Reo. Your lunch will be in Reo. You will continue on to drive to Ruteng and then see the traditional market in here. Your dinner and accommodation is in Ruteng.

In Ruteng, you will have an agro-tour before driving back to Labuan Bajo. This morning you will have an interesting educational tour to coffee plantation and meet a local coffee farmer whose passion on planting coffee and having to produce it on his home coffee fabric that you have the opportunity to buy for your home souvenirs. After learning about coffee, you will continue on with your agro-tour to explore the paddy field by trekking within 2 km around Lingko Ratung where you can see the beautiful panorama of rice terrace including the spider web field combined with the activities of local farmers. After trekking, you will drive to Labuan Bajo and your trip ends here.
